This issue was a grouping of small stories involving Sophia, Astoria, the Regency Elf and Teresa. There's a good amount of character development with most of the arcs. Sophia reveals the day to day life of her marriage with Cerebus. Teresa is trying to get in with Weisshaupt's administration and Astoria reveals that Weisshaupt is in over his head with his plans.
A solid issue though no real forward movement with the story in here. I found the Sophia story to be the most interesting. Cerebus hates her for the most part yet he's paranoid about her leaving him. I guess that's a pride thing. He wants to be the one to leave her out in the cold and not the other way around.
I believe this issue is just putting some pieces into place for when the story starts to move forward more. It had some good character development and featured the return of Astoria since High Society ended. This was overall, a good issue.
Until next time!

Cerebus #59
This issue deals a lot with the every day workings of the Iest government. The end has Weisshaupt having a stare down with a Bishop Powers from the Church.
Not a ton to this issue. You get a little more from Cerebus' memories which is always good. Past that, this issue is a lot of setup for what's going to come over the next couple of issues.
Until next time!
